In daily kinds of food and cake little difficult to find them but on ramadhan we can choose as we like, from the traditional cake until the western food serving on here, and another of the unique the traditional cake show up with variously and sure about the taste still be good.

On my territory North Sumatera-Medan from the traditional market until the super mall or even street store they don't wont loose this moment. The traditional cake with the various taste and form brings another value of Ramadhan, one of the famous cake for breaking fasting is Lemang. Traditional cake during the time become the special when ramadhan comes. Lemang as the traditional cake is made from sticky rice with the special recipe, made it be a favorite alternative to consume when breaking on fasting.

The unique of it, here the lemang cook inside of bamboo and each step to made it not all people able to do. The cooking process is very traditional, commonly another cake use the microwave but lemang different, grains of sticky rice combine by coconut milk and another secret recipe mixing on bamboo but before wrapped by banana leave inside of bamboo hole sure the banana leave itself not all variant can be use, commonly people made lemang use the young one.
After all preparing process already done lemang should be burn first and and detail of the process North Sumatera as the hometown of lemang especially on Tebing Tinggi will well come to everyone that want to see the unique of lemang made process.
Beside for breaking of the fasting lemang also serve when Idul Fitri. The special moment will complete by this traditional cake Lemang.
